Context

A young company specialized in bicycle sales wanted to create a digital platform dedicated to professionals in the cycling sector: shops, rental companies and other players in the industry. The aim was to offer conditions adapted to the specific needs of professionals.

Purpose of the assignment

To support the commercial structuring and outreach to manufacturers and suppliers, identify partner brands and prepare the launch of the marketplace in France.

  • Study of the French market for professional bicycles and existing distribution channels.

  • Identification of the main manufacturers and wholesalers that could be integrated into the platform.

  • Contact these actors, presentation of the project and negotiation of commercial terms.

  • Participation in the Eurobike trade fairs in Frankfurt (Germany) and Prodays in France to maximize visibility and meet key partners.

  • Support in defining ordering, delivery and customer service processes adapted to the professional sector.

Result

The task has made it possible to build a solid portfolio of suppliers and manufacturers ready to offer their products on the platform. The commercial strategy was validated and attracted the first professional customers with encouraging purchase volumes already in the first months. The marketplace has thus been able to position itself as a key player in the professional cycling sector.
