Task within digital health
Context
A health technology startup had developed an innovative solution consisting of a wristwatch with sensors, a tablet and a smart scale. The entire system was connected to an algorithm that could identify early signs of functional loss in the elderly. After successful testing, the team wanted to launch a targeted commercial effort towards actors in the field of elderly care and EHPAD (French nursing homes).
Objective of the assignment
To identify and establish contact with decision-makers in elderly care – especially nursing home managers and home care networks – in order to validate concrete use cases, collect feedback and create initial business opportunities.
Procedure
Analysis of the specific needs within the care sector in relation to prevention and monitoring of residents' functional ability.
Selection of institutions with an interest in welfare technology and digital health solutions (innovative nursing homes, private chains, pilot projects).
Building a database of qualified contacts: directors, healthcare leaders and innovation managers.
Direct contact, presentation of the solution and organization of meetings and demonstrations.
Advice on adapting sales materials and messages to the specific challenges in the sector (resource pressure, nursing staff workload, avoiding readmissions).
Result
The task led to a series of qualified meetings with leaders in the care sector. The feedback collected provided both insight into the barriers to adoption (economics, data integration, workflows) and confirmed a strong need for technological solutions that can predict functional loss.
The mission helped the company target its sales strategy and prioritize development towards the most relevant applications.
